There’s no length-of-residency requirement to vote in Tennessee.
Early voting begins 20 days before the election. You can vote at your county election office or at an early voting location. Find your county election office.
To vote absentee-by-mail, you’ll need to give a reason you can’t vote during early voting or on Election Day. Here’s a list of acceptable reasons.
You’ll need to download an application for an absentee ballot and mail, fax, or email it to your local election office.
Early voting ends 5 days before the election. Mailed ballots must be received by the time the polls close on Election Day.
Military/overseas voters can also get a ballot through the Federal Voting Assistance Program.
